Wynward staff once again showed tremendous support and enthusiasm for their community on the first day of our 5th annual United Way Workplace Campaign on Wednesday.

Continuing our proud tradition of supporting United Way, Wynward President and CEO, Darryl Levy (pictured), launched this year’s campaign. Over half of our Winnipeg Wynward staff have already shown their fantastic support and participation after the first day.

Ken Opaleke, the Executive Director of West Broadway Youth Outreach (WBYO) was invited to the kickoff to speak to Wynward staff about WBYO and the amazing work that he and his team do on a regular basis.

WBYO is a free recreational program for kids ages 4-12 in the West Broadway neighbourhood and throughout the city. Kids at WBYO are provided with after-school programs and recreational activities year-round. The program is able to continue its incredible work thanks to donations from United Way Workplace Campaigns throughout Winnipeg.

This year, our goal is to reach 100% employee participation in our week-long Workplace Campaign. We encourage all staff members to donate and help fundraise throughout the week so that programs like WBYO can continue to grow and strengthen our community!
